Had three lovely rides in The Lake District this weekend. Skiddaw circuit, Whinlatter Altura - although didn't enjoy the ride up from Braithwaite very much - and finally Helvellyn down Sticks Pass.

Thanks for the recommendations STW, can't wait to go back and do some more riding in The Lakes.

I don't think I've seen it as busy in town (Keswick) or out on the fells as it was this weekend.

Did you drag up the road ? There's a bridleway up to the visitors centre from Thornthwaite, and plenty of other fireroad / cheeky options if you know where to look ๐Ÿ˜‰

The easiest-to-find off road route heading up is the signposted C2C route.

When were you around skiddaw? 3 of us were on the bridleway from Bassenthwaite past Dash falls on saturday, about 1pm ish. We only saw 2 other folks all day (who were, it has to be said, quicker than me!). Maybe it was you? Awesome day though. Lakes are great and definitely had better weather than most of the uk...

POSTED 19 HOURS AGO # REPORT-POST

I was around Skiddaw on Saturday too and went past Dash Falls. I was on my own at first but met up with a couple who showed me a nice little route back to Keswick.
