So I have stripped down some grubby v+brakes that I want to use on a new project.

I got to the point where the inner prong/post (I don't know the correct term, sorry) which sits over the posts on the frame has been removed from the caliper itself. I've cleaned it up as much as possible.

Now I need to put it back together, should I grease the outside of the prong before putting it back in the caliper. And if so is teflon grease okay to use as that's what I have to hand.

And is there anything else I should grease oil on v brakes before re attaching them?

Thanks
