Gravel seatpost recommendations?

I need a new seatpost for my Sonder Camino as the clamp is going on the current deda zero in there. Ideally it would be £50ish (can stretch that a bit) and the less harsh the better. 27.2 and think a set back would help with a bit of flex.

What would people recommend? Any great deals out there?

Definitely 27.2? My Camino is a 31.6, is yours older/shimmed?

Pretty sure, mine is a 2020 (actually the same as this https://singletrackworld.com/gritcx/2020/06/sonder-camino-al-miles-of-comfort-and-fun/)

Reading that link the specs at the bottom say 27.2 so pretty sure I'm right.

Running a shimmed down USE 27.2 in my gravel bike, it was about £25 IIRC from their outlet a year or so ago.

You can get a copy of the Canyon/Ergon VCLS carbon leafspring seatpost from AliExpress. I've been running one for years without issues. You might also be able to get a legit one 2nd hand within your budget

I would love a VCLS but secondhand are like hens teeth and about £150. Not sure how I feel about AliExpress carbon, appreciate it's probably made in the same factories but at least you have some comeback if it comes from a known brand and you expect some decent QC

If you can go to £80 I find this comfy

Anyone tried the cannondale SAVE seatpost?

seems to have some flex designed in at the head…

£100 new though

I do wonder how the canyon double leaf design will cope with dust/dirt between the moving leaves…

Regarding the VCLS, I believe you are supposed to do some increased maintenance, i.e. remove it every so often and clean between the leaves. Doesn't sound too onerous but also something I'm likely to forget to do.

I've taken Iainc up on the offer, looks like a very similar post to the one ony Tarmac which I really like
