Be interested to see how it develops - graphene is a layer 1 atom thick so any macroscopic, structural application would seem to need it embedded in a polymer, or laid down on a surface. If such a material had a substantial graphene content, then obv properties would change.

I think where the bolloxology starts is when you claim do this in a rubber tyre, say, or a carbon fibre object (if that is possible), but really you've not got meaningful graphene content in there. It's just many-layered carbon graphite - not dissimilar to carbon black that's been an essential part of tyres for years (and has an amorphous structure IIRC).

i doubt they are getting it anywhere near the single atom thickness as that takes a lot of processing or an expensive grade and as for the self healing - hmm. Need to see the evidence.

Puncture resistance can increase. I have some research using another nanoparticle and show that is significantly increases the cur resistance of an elastomer.

Carbon black does a lot more than just make tyres black as mentioned above.

billions of dollars spent on graphene research. No convincing applications as yet.

It's not all been wasted we have Graphene light bulbs!
I am genuinely interested in the Vittoria tyres, has there been any reviews?
