Have a HP iPaq which is ok, has a GPS built in, which is nice.
Whilst it's obviously not going to take any abuse at all I would quite like to wrap it in bubble wrap and use it to record rides and import them into Sporttracks, memory map (old version) or google earth.
Had a bit of a look, but not found anything that looks suitable, plus I don't like installing stuff and having to take it off if it's crap or causes problems as invariably I'll end up having to do a factory reset to get the phone working properly again...
So, any recs?
Memory Map is the obvious choice. Full OS maps on your phone. IIRC you get the windows mobile software as part of the full windows package. Recommended.
If you just want to track routes, google for Lem's TrackMe, or look on www.xda-developers.com for it. It's really good.

Only thing I miss about going to my Palm Pre!
Thanks for the suggestions chaps, don't want to pay for memory map, maybe it's improved since the version I have but it's the worst designed piece of software in history.
what version do you have?
just hook your phone up to your pc and install pocket navigator?
As Del says if you already have MM, it's not going to cost you anything, why not give it a try, I've got it on my phone and PDA and it works OK for me.
I have 2004, didn't come with pocket navigator. Truly awful software with no descernable file system.
I've installed GPS cycle computer, seems ok but had a few errors trying to run it before I rebooted the device and all seems fine now.
