Have read a few reviews and threads on here and concluded the 810 is about the best option for me - just over £200 on wiggle, which is not much different to the best price I can find for the 800. Although most of the use will be for Strava logging, the maps and turn-by-turn navigation will come in handy when exploring new places.
Has anyone found any particularly good deals on this? Just after the base unit as I'll use the open source mapping rather than paying for OS.

although when soon is I don't know.
Halfords often have good offers on them. Worth also looking at CRC and Merlin if they still have their discount codes running.
Open source maps can be a bit hit and miss offroad. Probably ok in busy places. Less so out on the moors near me and in Scotland. Good for road though - used them in UK, Italy and Majorca.
Cheers. I've used the open maps on my old Etrex Legend which were adequate - not worth upgrading for me really. I usually carry a paper map in case things get bad!
Wiggle still leading on price - the handtec site for some reason lists ex. vat.
