[Closed] GP Honey DH this weekend - Advice please

So, its the GP Honey DH at Avery Farm this weekend and Im thinking of having a bash at it (provided it doesnt rain!). Been doing some gravity enduro's but never done any DH racing so Im not sure if it'll be a bit much for me or not.

Does anyone know if you can turn up to practice on Sat without commiting to doing the race Sun? Ideally I'd like to have a crack at it Sat and if its too much then call it a day with only a fiver lost. Dont really want to shell out for the race entry and turn up to practice only to realise Im too much of a wuss for the course!
