Have had a pair of quality hubs lying around for a while and think it is time to build them up with suitable rims. They are unlikely to be taking any really big hits, so I would say lightish XC use preferably UST. Mavic 819's have been suggested, any other suggestions?? Thanks!

819s are a superb rim but by no means ultra light. I ran them for a year on a dh bike with little trouble other than the odd re tension and true here and there, and I wasnt holding back either.

I've been using NoTubes Olympic rims for 3 years and am pleased with them, ordinary XC riding and some racing as well. Nice and light, running them with the yellow rim strip tubeless. They havent been jumped or anything but have withstood some pretty rocky trails in Gran Canaria which I'm sure they were weren't fully designed for without any hassle. They have some new Alpine & Crest rims which might be worth a look.
