that looks well good!

Website says it's 20kg. It looks like it would have been a 11-12kg bike without beefing up the front triangle and electrifying it. I have ridden heavier (DH) bikes....

1st thing i did when it arrived was pick it up.
compared to the 50lb kalkhoff i sold to buy this, it is like a featherweight.
because the battery and motor is in the main triangle the evtra weight dont seem noticable.
also a 'just under 20stone rider' dont need a light bike..... ๐Ÿ˜€

Why an ebike for offroad? I've quite enjoyed tooling about on them about town but hadn't realised that there was a market for what looks like quite a serious e-driven mtb.

Enjoy.
Won't the extension lead limit the distances you can do?*

* Unles you go round in circles of course...

I saw one of those at Glentress a while back, mistook it for a Zesty at first. Didn't get a chance to talk to the rider though, I think they took a different route down.

Fair enough. If the take off is anything like those I have ridden it would have the capacity to get you into all sorts of trouble with a misplaced pedal stroke!

Had my first ride on an electric bike last weekend.

It was just a little ride around a test track but it was awesome fun. The acceleration of the thing was v unexpected & could easily see how you could reach some serious top speeds. Felt a wee bit unnatural at first - almost like I was on a motorbike ๐Ÿ™‚

i don't like it, but i hope you do, ton.... ๐Ÿ™‚

i will say that the wheels look a bit spindly and a QR fork seems a little out of date, esp. considering the weight of the bike plus the (cough) rider. but then going by ton's previous form he might have something knocking about in the garage.

could easily see how you could reach some serious top speeds

it's not so much about top speed, more about getting up the hill.

How does an ebike fit in the scheme of things that are allowed on bridle ways and the like?

took it the Lee Quarry this afternoon when i had finished delivering.
for the 1st time ever, i rode from the carpark, all the way up, all the way round the red route and all the way back up to the pump track area.
my motor has made me a riding god!!!............ ๐Ÿ˜†

the motor cuts out at 15mph. but in the highest setting it feels like it gets you there instantly.

smallest is a 40cm, then 4cm increments.

That is actually remarkably cool. Am pretty impressed. Any of us likely at some point to struggle to keep going at this silly MTB lark due to health or age. Knowing there is something like that waiting in the wings is great. Have fun safe in the knowledge we all secretly want a go...

Great news, Ton. Proof (if it were needed) that any / all cycling is good. Happy trails, and may the wind be at your back. Ah, now thinking about it, it doesn't matter which way it's blowing does it! ๐Ÿ™‚

I can see that getting you places in a hurry. If I see you coming downhill I'm moving aside all that momentum could be overly exciting.
