I've owned one of these for 8 years, time for a new one as the missus has washed it so many times.....
So go about looking to replace it like for like....and that is when i see that no one has these in stock anymore, i think they have stopped making this exact jacket.
Do any of you have any ideas on where i can get another one, as near to the original as poss. definatly to have removable sleeeves and preferable not an out an out rain mac type thing.
PS it's the best thing i have worn ever.#
Many thanks

No they don't make the N2S Phantom anymore, which is a shame.

There is a latest Phantom but the material is softshell, not N2S, and the cut is slightly different too - 'squarer' and less roadie.

Nearest fit I've found to the N2S is the Oxygen SO which is also softshell and no zip off arms.

Thanks Reggiegasket, i'll lookout for the phantom if it has the removable arms.

What's the difference between N2S and the softshell? my Phantom's looking really ragged these days, after a few trips down the road, and I need to replace it soon. It's still my goto top on all but the hottest of days.

I bought an N2S of the classifieds a while back. I shall use it more once the weather cools down.

Isn't it the same jacket but its just not called N2S. I got an old one and is a different material to my mates one he just bought but essentially looks the same ๐Ÿ™‚

N2S is a different material to softshell. Similar sure, but different 8)

The N2S is more 'windstopper' I find, whereas the softshell is softer and thicker.

Just looked at the Gore Store- their page for the Phantom implies that it still uses N2S technology (see features tab in the bottom left).

They may still call it N2S but the fabric is different from the old N2S Phantoms and the latest. I've got both types.

The Alp X windproof is maybe what you are looking for. I have a phantom and an alp x and wouldnt be without either.
