The stock headset on my 2012 orange five is dead. What cartridge bearing replacement headset is there that doesn't cost north of £50?

Thanks guys

Your cheap 2012 headset is dead and you want to but another cheap headset 😕 and next year do the same 😕 Fork out on a Hope or King headset, then forget about it for years 😉

I agree with fivespot, get something good. I destroyed the bearings in my relatively cheap FSA headset with just 2 wet laps of Cwmcarn!

Or if your headset bearings are a standard size find the code number on them and google for a replacement better quality set.

Hope Pick 'n Mix will do the job nicely. And as above, it will last a lot longer than the cheesy one standard on the Five.

If I was buying (another) Orange, the headset upgrade would be the first option I ticked.

alternatively, if there is a good deal (CRC or similar) on regular headsets, buy a 1 1/8" and a 1.5".

Superstar do good value replacement cartridge bearings which are cane creek compatible.... i've just bought a set for my yei asr5 which has the top end of a s3 and the bottom end of a double xx
