[#1849032]

Looking for a bit of a change from our usual route around the chilterns. I'm sure I recall a few of you talking about some good riding in the Stonor / Maidensgrove area.

Can someone please remind me where those routes are?

Stonor is about halfway round a couple of routes we do from watlington. Would a .gpx file help, or if not I could send a screen shot of the route to your email.

greasystain, .gpx files sent, if they haven't turned up then my email is in my profile. Just noticed you're looking for a Mountain King tyre, I have a half worn 2.2 protection in the garage.

The one that ends up on the B480. Looks like it goes between two woods then across a field?

If you mean Warmscombe Lane then it's pretty good.

Hey guys did the Almshill Wood descent this morning. Steep and fast - great.

Many thanks!

Glad you enjoyed it - just remembered to warn you about the road at the bottom, but looks like you had that covered ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Now worries we saw the road coming. I was doing a good impression of a badger at the end of the run though - tubeless tyres sprung a leak.

I'm just trying to build that run into our regular route and was wondering if you had idea if the highlighted track below is ridable? It's the one going through Balham's Wood.

Double track couple of turns, not that interesting. It's a private road, if that bothers you. Single bar gate that's padlocked at the bottom on the road

i did this route several weeks ago and can fire off the gpx file if you wish. Plenty of climbing for around here at 5000ft

edit - just realised you cant read the route. It starts at Russell Water - Stoner - Hambledon - Ibstone - Lewknor - Ibstone Common - Truville Heath - Stonor - Russel Water

Looks fairly similar to a regular route I do. Any chance of a GPX for me too please?
