I am down in Dorset on a solar PV installers course next Mon 9th, Tues 10th , Weds 11th and was wondering if there is any good XC trails near to Wimborne, Dorset?
Also wondering if there is a local group that goes riding in the evening?
I will be bringing the bike down with me & would love to get out on some local trails

Tuesday nights Primera do a ride (Purbecks i think).
Wednesdays Ride cycleworks have a big ride (40/50 riders!) leaving the Sandbanks ferry to the Purbecks at 6'ish. Dorset Rough Riders also go out on a Wednesday (i think they meet in Broadstone).
Loads of stuff near you. Check out the Dorset Rough Riders website.
Also Bikelab in Poole do a Tuesday ride (Purbeck) so drop them a line and also Ride (not sure what night they ride).

Do you have a GPS? I can point you towards some trails if you do. I live in the area but an infection in my leg is keeping me off the bike for the next few weeks 🙁
