Just bought myself a 2008 Kona Stinky which has a 30.0mm seat tube.
The options on droppers, especially hydraulic ones are rather limited (non-existant?) I've heard of people having the seat tube reamed out to 30.9mm. Is this advisable and if so where should I get it done? Don't fancy tackling it myself! Anyone know of someone in the Lincoln/Nottingham/Peterborough area who could do it?
Cheers
27.2 gravity dropper and a shim would be a lot less hassle surely.
Gravity Droppers any good? I've got a 27.2mm Forca mechnical one in my current bike with a shim to 30.0mm and it's not very good TBH, nothing wrong with shimming it, it's just a useless seat post. Looking for something a bit better, tried a Reverb on someone else's bike and it was leagues ahead in terms of build quality. Gravity Dropper doesn't look like much of a step up from my current one?
Quick google has revealed that my Forca and the Gravity Dropper are the same thing, jsut with a different name. I'd rather have a Thompson and a QR lever I think
Gravity Dropper is miles ahead of Forca as far as quality!
