[Closed] Good headset for a single speed 26er running rigid forks?

I'm building a single speed mtb using an onone inbread ss frame and some exotic carbon forks but have been told I should go for a heavy duty headset due to the impact on the races with no sus. Is a cane creek tank hit headset OTT ?

I run a cane creek S8...that's just a regular headset with stainless bearings AFAIK.
I've never heard the heavy duty headset required advice before.

Yes, because all mountain bikes prior to 1995 had heavy duty headsets.
You'll be fine.
