[#3772666]

I've often read on previous posts that you only need 20quid to go tubeless but looking at everything I need its looking a little pricier ๐Ÿ˜•

This seems pricey but is it over kill for what I need?
Plus is this suitable for Crest 26"?

Or should I be looking at going for the bits separate?

That kit's for converting non-tubeless rims to tubeless. You don't need the rim strips on Crests, you can use Stans yellow tape and separate valves. Shop around and you should be able to find them cheaper than that. You'll need some sealant too. (Bear in mind that the tape and sealant in those quantities will do more than one pair of wheels.)

[Edit: see what honourablegeorge says below, much better value!]

The only problem with that^^^^^^^^ is that you get just enough sealant for 2 wheels. I ended up having to buy some more after making a complete balls up of the first wheel. Otherwise thats all you will need.

It's worth getting a reasonable amount of sealant in anyway for contingencies and repairs, a pint or so, say. It's a consumable really, like chain lube and brake pads and whatnot.

cheers for the input!

I was always under the impression that I needed the valves on the rubber innertube-like rings,
However after actually watching [url=

I realize that I you don't!

It does say that its used with Flows, doesn't mention Crests or what size the tape is?

I know Flows are slightly wider than crests, I assume the yellow tape will be the same?!

If it's for Flows it'll be the 25mm stuff but it says here that it's fine for Crests too.
