First, don't mention tape.
I'm of the old school and always laid on several layers of nice Clement or Dunlop cement over a few days. I have been given a few 30g tubes of Vittoria mastick. To save me trying and running out, can anyone tell me how many tubes they used for a new tub on a clean rim?

I would say 2 x 30g tubes per wheel..
The first 1/2 layers of glue on the tub will just soak in, and you need a base layer on the rim..
That was for cyclo-cross though. And I never rolled a tub!

Better than I thought. I was brought up on 3 layers on the rim and 2 on the tub.
