On the website it says that there is a new section. Where is it?

Could be the replacement for Pennel's Vennel? I think it opened this week?

Yep - starts just below the old entrance. Check out the Tweed Valley Bike Patrol FB page for a photo / comment.

Some gopro footage from today

Rode it today. Actually rode it 3 times today! It's not at all what I was expecting from seeing the early bucket work, it starts out fairly flat then it steepens up and it's just berm, berm, but with gradient to it. Berm Baby Berm, For Men. It's pretty ace... (also I think the wee traverse in the middle is going to see some enormous crashes... Sanka, ya dead?)

(I'm still going to miss pennel's vennel though- I'm not sure this is a "replacement", there was still discussion of putting a new start on pennel's vennel using the old racelink from the blue that we reopened for the GT7 in '12 or '13, last I asked... The bit with the heavy windfall is a writeoff unless they log out the entire section. But for now it reinstates the full red route and extra climb, which is Good. And I think less people will ride past it in their rush to spooky like they did with Pennel's)

Agree with that. Rode it this weekend too and that bit is properly quick and ever so slightly off-camber, and a lovely tree ready to collect anyone drifting too far left. Thought it was a great bit of trail, loved riding it on the Soul, then we took the tandem down it - them berms look even bigger sitting up on a 13.5" high bottom bracket waiting for the back wheel to get round the corner!
