Hi, anyone ridden the path on the north side of Loch Affric, just trying to hatch a plan for a ride to the youth hostel, for a stop over. There is a good track on the south side, just wondering about the path to the north of the Loch to spice it up a bit.
Yes - it's fine. More fun than the south path but all rideable. There might be one chance to get your feet wet....
The roughest bit of the track to the hostel is the bit after the junction down to the river flats.

Not much to add to that.
I'd probably go out and back on the north side, I got my feet wet more than once and although I think I [i]could[/i] ride it all with a more relaxed pace, I did push a few bits.
I only did the bit round the Loch tho, the hostel is to come.

Yeah it is hard to believe, thought he was ok in fargo.
