got a few pairs of glazed pads, most with loads of life, shame to bin 'em
can i just angle-grind off the top layer? any other methods?

Rubbing them on a concrete paving slab normally works for me.

Bit of sand paper/emery cloth, never fails for me.

a grinder.wtf??
p100 sand paper on a flat surface.do it in a circular motion and press hard on the pad to keep it flat. DO NOT use a grinder mate.
they wil be ****ed after that.
