Hello chaps,

I'm in Glasgow all this next week with work and looking for some good riding spots.

Planing on checking out the commonwealth games route tonight (traffic dependant) but a bit stuck after that.

Will be staying in Paisley

Thanks in advance

Some nice bits in Mugdock country park but I suspect local knowledge is needed to get the best out of it.

Ben Lomond isn't too far away in a car and is an amazing descent if you don't mind pushing your bike and going up a big hill.

Try heading out the whw to balmaha and back some great views and it's well sign posted so hard to get lost.

Gleniffer braes. South side of paisley. Loads of stuff up there to keep you entertained for a few hours.

If you have transport Arrochar is only 45mins away. Check out the Cobbler descent, the Coiregrograin loop and the Ardgartan Peninsula circuit.

Cross over the Erskine Bridge and give the Loch Humphries/Craggs route a go. The climb up to the loch is brutal but its good fun thereafter and the views of the city are brilliant (weather depending!)

That's greats guys, thanks a lot. I'll check them out and give them a go.

Nobeerinthefridge - do you happen to know when and where they ride? A midweek ride with locals would be ace

If that doesn't suit, I'd be happy to show you some local Mugdock routes one evening if it works for you?
