Just having a look - I may... just may... be able to sneak a bash around the trails there tomorrow if I can rattle through my scheduled jobs quickly!

How long would you expect a lap to take? I am currently getting around The North Face in just shy of an hour and a half, but have ridden it a fair number of times now.

Just trying to work out what time I need to be at the carpark for in order to get around before I run out of daylight ๐Ÿ˜‰

Usually about 2 hrs - but was there yesterday, lower areas (car parks/fire roads) like skating rinks. Higher areas 2-3" of snow. You won't be seeing it at it's best but was fun in it's own way.

Fastest time on Strava for the whole lot is 56mins.
Last time I was there we went round at a leisurely pace in 2hr15m

Damn - ice may just scupper me.

2 hours was what I was working on. Hmmm... is it worth going at the moment, given I would be riding solo and probably see no one else all day? Just on the worrying about killing myself grounds!

I would say no - we commented yesterday that it would be madnees to be up there solo in those conditions. Took us 3-4 hours and I fell into a 6' deep gulley!

Looks like it is the North Face on the way home then! Bah.

Been trying to get over to Gisburn for ages, but much like my attempt at Parkamoor last weekend, no point in risking it when you are on your own.

Interesting ๐Ÿ˜•
I'm supposed to be nightriding at Gisburn tomorrow, looks like we're unlikely to get a full lap in.

Was up there today repairing trails, some ice on the fireroads, no snow. Lots of people riding today. Should be fine tomorrow. Allow 2 hours, can cut it short and follow the firewood home if you need to.
