Worth doing? The Giro Hex you can get for around £35-£40 but the replacement cost though madison on the scheme is £32.50 plus the cost of posting the damaged helmet to them - doesn't seem worth it?

I did it and Madison were spectacularly useless - sent me the wrong helmet back twice. They did sort it in the end and gave me some freebies to make up for it but it was quite a hassle.

Ah ok, that's 08 stock - which to be fair is no different physically, but helmets do have a "shelf life". And of course, you;ll find they;re out of the size you need (well they are for me).

My mate is in no rush so maybe it would be a fair price for a new helmet - I guess hassle factor:savings ratio 😉

Used crash replacement from Madison for Xen helmet and returned with no hassle at all, especially as my receipt could not be found anywhere

Rich - I had a look after I dropped my bike on my new Xen (Oops!). With the replacement discount they give you, you're right - it bring the price in line with online retailers.

Might as well buy a new one and keep the "souvenir" 😉
