Can anyone help please? Just bought this frame but it's at home in Manchester while I'm working in sunny Cardiff. I'm looking to build it up but don't know what size theseat tube is so I can't get a front mech sorted. Anyone know the size in mm? Also, theres no point is there in over speccing this rebuild so any recommendations for groupset and brakes gladly taken on board. I already have wheels, forks and bars... Thanks for looking you good cycling folk, yodel.

Seatpost on mine is 30.8mm but have used a 30.9 in there also. But it was a tight fit.
Oh yeah my frame is an 2006
Im pretty sure its a 34.9 bandsize front mech you'd want
Edit: deore is where id look re groupset. Nice long lasting steel chainrings.
My other half has a XTC EX, 2006 as well i know its an odd 30.8mm, struggled to get a replacement seat post for the bike. Its got an old style lx, but looks like the frame widens out towards the mech sitting position.
My 2009 has a factory fitted sleeve to take 27.2
My 2010 reign X has a 30.9 seatpost and i've just bought a 34.9mm seat clamp which fits just fine.
All Giants have the same sized seatpost and tube through the range.
All as anto164 states. 30.9 seatpost. 34.9 seat tube.
