Does anyone have a recent Giant xtc 29er 1 (2013 or 2014 model) and what do you think of it? For the £1800 price tag it looks ok to me.
Bump, no one own one?
I was hoping someone would be able to offer feed back on the 2014 model, as I toying between the anthem 29er and the XTC 29er composite myself.
I think its a shame these are the only Giant 29ers available in the UK.
I was thinking of an anthem as well but I already have the x1 26er which is better specced that the current x29 1.
I don't own one but know a number of people who do or did and I've had a go on a demo bike - so I've used an XTC a few times. Honestly I think they handle like dog feces. New 27" anthem is however, a class bike (29ers one is good too). If you're after a 29er HT then I'd say stump up the extra for a specialized stumpjumper (pun intended) they do ride rather well.
A mate of mine has one and it rides like a hybrid bike. It isn't fun to ride but gets the job done.
