Hi again,
Still helping my mate buy his first reasonable MTB! There seem to be some good deals on the Giant XTC 3 at the moment, so he is pretty keep to snap one of those up. The only question is what size to go for... He is pretty tall and lanky - 6 foot 4 inches I think. I reckon the 20" frame should do it...? It is measured measured center to top by the looks of things:

At 6'4" I'd have a serious think about a 29er

im 6ft 5 and have an XL
i also quite like riding a bigger bike rather than a smaller bike, and put a shorter stem on it.
long top tube, short(er, 100mm rather than 110) stem stylee
i think he should be ok with a Large
