[#2454844]

Okay I'm 6', 32" leg and have test ridden a medium Trance X (old model) with a 70mm stem and needed the saddle almost all the way back.

Anyone my size bought a large and regretted it? They look a bit like a barn gate. I was happy riding the medium, but seatpost was out a lot and saddle was pushed back.

Why can't they make an inbetween size?

advice appreciated

thanks

p.s my new oakleys look extra fly!

6ft1 and medium with 90mm stem. i wouldn't want the large gate.
there was a thread about this a few weeks ago if you do a search.

5' 11" 32" leg. Medium with 65mm stem and wider bars, saddle in normal position. It does feel slightly cramped sometimes, but OK.

The Large felt too big for me too.

5' 10" here on a medium with a 90mm stem. Feels about right.

I'm exactly the same as Tim41 but I've bought a 50mm stem to see how it feels

I'd try the large if you can, 'cos they do come up short.

A friend of mine only a bit taller than you went for the XL.

6ft 2 here with '09 Large Trance X. 45mm stem, saddle quite far forward. I used to have the saddle far back but have moved it forward over time as it climbs better and I like the feeling of a shorter cockpit.

I think 6ft is a bit between sizes so it's whatever you're most comfortable with I suppose. If you go for the medium make sure you can have enough seatpost out to peddle comfortably. I only have an inch to spare before I hit the 'minimum insertion' mark with a 33 inch leg on the large.

6ft 4" here on an XL trance. I'd not want it any smaller, would be too cramped and there's plenty clearance anyhow.
