[#2101104]

I've been looking at getting a 1st or 2nd gen Trance frame (the ones with the shock baskets) and fitting 120mm forks, thinking that the longer forks than is standard for this frame would slacken the head angle off nicely. But having a look at the numbers, with a 120mm fork, the head angle is still nearly 70degree, when I was looking for 69 or less (to match my current bike). Looks like the latest Trance X's have a slacker head angle as standard with the 120mm fork...

Can anyone confirm the above? Any experiences with this setup?

Cheers!

2006 trance with a pike - mostly at 120 or so

bloody lovey all-rounder IMO, unless you're after lots of steep, rocky DHs when it might be too steep

I've got a Mk I Trance (shock basket) with 110-140 Maxle Rev's on.

When I'm not mincing, it's ace. Had a stonking descent off The Gap with them wound out to 140mm. The bike has more ability than I have balls.

Yeah 140mm fork would be better, but I'm restricted to the Reba Maxle's I have :/

70.5 degrees with a 100mm fork, a 120 is gonna knock that back to just over 69.5, a 140 probably sub 69 degrees... Though the front end would then be quite tall, and the BB raised somewhat...
