One of the lads needs new forks. 29er tapered.

The frame is a 15 Anthem with Overdrive. But I don't know if that affects for options, choices etc?

I had one of those. If memory serves, bottom cup is standard 1.5 inch, top of steerer is 1.25 rather than standard 1.125. If you want to use a non-overdrive fork you'll need a new adapter headset top cup and stem.

https://www.giant-bicycles.com/int/technology/detail/50

FEATURES: Giant's original oversized fork steerer-tube technology. Designed to provide solid front-end steering performance, the system's oversized headset bearings and tapered steerer tube provide optimal steering stiffness. Road models feature 1 1/8-inch top and 1 1/4-inch bottom bearings, while the mountain version features 1 1/8-inch top and 1 1/2-inch bottom bearings.

That's just normal tapered forks then?

I'm pretty sure overdrive is standard tapered, overdrive 2 was 1.5 > 1.25

This.  If its over drive 2 then this...

...which I did for my 2015 Anthem.
