Just replaced the Giant dropper with a Fox Transfer. I couldn't get the 8 inch foam sleeve for the outer that goes from near base of downtube round and up into seat tube to stay put, so it's down all in the downtube, with outer moving freely.
Any issues with leaving it like this ? I'm guessing it is there largely for rattle minimisation and I can't see how the outer as is can have any issues other than perhaps a bit of noise ?

Ah well, will ride it and see if it rattles !
