[Closed] Giant Defy 1 - do they have rack mounts on the seatstays?

Pondering an alu Defy 1 as a cheap audax bike. This years are available at good prices now.

I always thought it had rack mounts on the seatstays, but squinting at tiny pictures on my smartphone seems it does not, and I'd have to use P clips?

Any owners who can confirm?

I concur. Also mudguard eyes. Just did my SR on one, good choice.

Only reason I can see for not getting one is that we don't have 700 quid spare!

5'9" and 31" inside leg, I'd be a medium medium, not medium large? The size guide on Rutlands website seems very comprehensive I have to say.

I'm 5'9" with 29.5" inside leg and my medium (50) fits perfectly. My girlfriend is 5'9" / 31" and took it for a pootle round the park and looked right on it.

Defo Medium. And get the proper black Giant guards, 25s max though really.

Curse these bloody bike sales coinciding with the death of the dishwasher... ๐Ÿ‘ฟ

You can hand wash dishes, but you will struggle to mount a decent rack to a dishwasher ๐Ÿ˜‰

Definitely a medium. Buy with confidence, they are superb bikes.

Go Medium. In fact just go with the size guide on Giant's website (bearing in mind that it's model specific - E.g. at 6'0 I'm on a M/L Defy as recommended but Giant say L on a TCR).

I love mine (2013 Defy 0). Rides nice, looks nice. Not sure if it's an ideal all year Audax bike / winter trainer though, if that is indeed the intention. It takes Giant's mudguards but not full ones and only with ?23mm tyres IIRC.
