Just about to upgrade my rear end 🙂 on an xtc advanced 27.5 from 135 qr to 142. Found the giant drop outs but not sure on the axle... You need the proper Giant £40 one. I tried to use a DT to save some money and it wouldnt work. Different threads was the issue
The Giant one has a different thread on it so the DT Swiss ones or the Specialized ones wont fit it. Had the same problem and ideas around it when upgrading a Trance. Makes it an expensive upgradeh
Managed to get a discount when ordering the dropouts/mech hanger and axle together from Pedal on
Shimano E thru will work 12mm same thread as the giant one
Yeah mine is a shimano one too, works fine
