Hi, Can someone remind me of the fix for ghost shifting on a Specialised S-works Enduro please? It's an old 2005 frame but mint, new bearings, new rear hanger, chain , rear mech, cassette and cables. Are there optimum cable lengths or should I just run outer cable full length. Cheers ๐Ÿ™‚

I run a full outer and have no shifting issues.
A bit off topic but do you have a spare low setting shock shuttle that you might consider selling. I lost mine and can't get one anywhere.

Full length outer and make sure it's not too tight across the BBshell.

I had an sworks in the shop this week with the same problem. After much re-cabling and cleaning it turns out that there was a small piece of the dropout missing meaning that the hanger was only held on by one bolt, as the chain moved up the block the hanger was pivoting slightly causing it to miss shift.

What does it say on the shuttle. I have a new one in the garage but don't know which it is.

Had the same problem a few months ago. I'd shortened the outer part that runs under the BBC as I thought it looked too long.

I have no idea what it says on the shuttle and I'm nowhere near my bike for the next couple of weeks.
I'll happily buy it off you with hope that it's a Low one. If not, I'll have a spare high.

Shock Shuttles, what it says on SX trail ones.
(High BB) HT=67.5o
(Low BB) HT=66.5o

As with others, run a long full outer.
There is a cable tie on the downtube, and one on the chain stay, the bikes had a coupler (clip on tie) that ran between the frame above the BB, this allowed both cables (front+rear mech cables) to be loosely tied and not flap about.
Spare shock shuttles are like rocking horse poo ๐Ÿ™‚

On our old ones and Katies current Enduro the front mech cable comes up from under the bottom bracket and the rear mech cable runs along side the bike just below the bottom brace on the chain ring side. The rear brake cable runs down the other side in an identical position. They are held in place with a length of plastic that has a tie rap at each end that passes under the bottom brace. This is easily bodged using three tie raps. Hope that makes sense. I can do some photos tomorrow if it will help. All the outer cables are full ones.
