Gears are slipping in 9th and 10th. Running a hope T. Rex with zee mech, XT cassette, XTR chain, XTR shifter.
Everything is nearly new.
New mech hanger.
Would a slightly used cassette with a new chain make it only slip in these 2 gears?

Check for broken teeth, and get your hanger checked for alignment 🙂

A mates just gone through a similar thing and it was a disintegrating freehub

Put a new chain on mine recently and it was skipping on the smallest sprockets. Cassette didn't seem worn but swapped it and it solved the problem. You could always try replacing but keep the packing tidy incase it doesn't fix it?
