[#456117]

After great success using Stans and multiple punctures on my non-tubeless bike, I want to try ghetto tubeless.

What are the best bmx tubes to use and where can I get them?

Many Thanks

Sainsburys for £1.99 each did the trick for me.

They have got removable valve cores too!

I think the shwalbe 20 inch tube has a thread all the way down the valve, allowing you to use the knurled nut to secure the tube.

I'm liking the idea of removable cores. That'll make it much easier to load up the gunk.

But my rims are drilled for presta and I don't fancy taking a drill to them.

So, any presta valved tubes with removable cores?

I had no problems with old 26" tubes.

Wasnt aware there were any ways of removing cores from a presta valve? Either way you dont need removable cores - inserting the goo can be done by pushing the bead over slightly and if you only pump with thevalve at the bottom you dont get latex gumming up the valve anyway.

How much milk are peeps using. Alan's ghetto guide says 50mls is enough, JRA reckon 100mls is 'plenty for one tyre' and other guides I've seen use 70-90mls.

Tyres are skinny lil 1.9s.

depends on the tyres ADH.

The gravitys i did, leaked air from everywhere, so i had to add some more after the inside of the carcass was covered.

I used Schwalbe 20" BMX with Removable core prestas and 50ml wheel milk in each tyre. Tyres were new Maxxis, they hardly leaked at all.
