Hi,
I was really excited to read the write up of Georgia (see "Georgia on My Mind") in the latest mag, as my wife is Georgian and we still have a house across there.
I was wondering if the author of the article frequents the forum or if anyone knows his whereabouts?
I'd be interested to get a route map of where he went or a gpx file if he had the technology.
The write-up was very nice and all, I can assure you, true to life.
The wine and the hospitality is second to none.
The dogs (Caucasian mountain dogs) are as ferocious as described. They are bred for protecting the flock from wolf attack.
Georgia is a phenominally beautiful country; where you can drive from the Black Sea immediately into the highest mountains in Europe.
I'd really like to see where the author went and, ideally, take a bike with me next time I go back there to recreate the trip.
