So I was out to in my local woods as the sun went down today and not long after I switched my light on I caught sight of a small piece of reflective tape stuck to a tree. Only about the size of a 20p. Then another a bit further on. And another, and another.

Well, I was off like the proverbial Hansel and Gretel following the crumbs of light and I was treated to a great link up of sneaky trails. Eventually I lost the trail but only after having had a bucket of fun in a wood I thought I knew so well.

So thank you to whoever put this trail together. Grand job indeed.

It was Otley Chevin of you are wondering.

Yeah, spotted the reflective bits on the trees on a night ride on the Chevin a couple of weeks ago.

Just what people who build cheeky trails want: signposts?

Maybe a geocache trail or the remains of one.

yep, you obviously timed it well. next time you may find yourself blow-darted, trussed up like a chicken, and carted off to a village ruled entirely by women.
