So after two years of use and abuse of my Genius LT, I have been looking at a few other frames that I wouldn't mind moving on to. Although in all honesty my Genius handles everything I currently throw at it, I would like a change and one of the first framesets that springs to mind is the Ibis Mojo HD. I know there are a lot of threads all over the internet about this bike and comparisons with every other AM bike that's out there, so sorry for clogging your forum with another one of those "VS" threads, but I am curious as to whether they are genuinely the holy grail of all mountain/enduro, or will it not be such a big jump in terms of ride quality as what I'm expecting. Please no "Get the Ibis, they are so rad!!" type posts as fanboying is not the best way of offering advice. Thanks in advance. Ash
I have had one for 2 years and think its brilliant! Had it at 160 for the first year and now have it in 140, never feels out of its depth and I have given it a proper hammering (15 metre drops etc) and its still stif and light although looks a title tatty now tho! You should go and Demo one, biketart have a demo one.

Have you looked at the SB66?
Absolutely love mine. Could maybe use a stouter fork than the 32, but otherwise perfect.
The SB66 is also a very tempting bike, as is the Nomad C, Transition Covert, Trek Slash... the list goes on and on. I know that One Planet Adventure (Llandegla) has both as demo rides (last time I checked anyway) but it's quite a distance for me for a days ride. My main reason for posting this thread is really for a comparison between my current ride and the HD from anyone who has any experience from riding both, though the chances of coming across someone who has had ride time is scarce.
Get the Ibis, they are so rad!
I knew that someone would do that ๐ lol!
As others have said, try and demo one. I wondered if I had made the right decision when I bought mine because the suspension worked very differently to what I'd had before (VPP). Mine is the 140, would love to try it at 160 but wouldn't need that for a lot of the riding I do.
I had no real intention of buying one until I did a lap of llandegla on my mates. None of the fs bikes i've ridden in the past have felt anywhere near as nice as the ibis.
Coming from a hardtail i really like the way it gives you lots of feedback from the ground rather than turning everything to mush.
