2 very different bikes, same use though nice weather commuting the long way (got a dew drop for crap weather duties) long rides for getting the miles in etc.
Which would you go for?

Get the Equilibrium. If it rides like a lighter version of my Croix de Fer, it will be ace. I'm fighting the temptation to get an equilibrium 10 at the minute.

Giant obviously. Unless you build the Genesis up with your own spec.

Buy a Genesis frame for cheap as chips and build yourself.
