Just bought one of these machines on the Ride to Work scheme to complement my Maverick. It came as standard apart from having Easton Monkeylites fitted. So far I am really impressed. It's fast and light despite definitely being an xc bike. It feels easily comfortable enough for all day rides although so far I've only ridden it for a few hours at a time. If anyone's casting about for a hardtail under a grand, do not overlook these bikes. Incidentally, the RRP is £1050, Evans have them on for £900 and my lbs price matched it.
