I've just tried one of these (The 30 with the 853 frame) and was rather impressed, just wondered if there were any owners out there that could give me some longer term opinions?
Out of interest anyone got the Ti one and what do they think of that?
Ta
I'll second that! the 853 Genesis Altiude frame makes for an awesome ride. Personally not tried the Ti but spoken to some how have and they've only got high praise for it. There should be a review in next month's MBUK by Guy Kesteven and I think in the Singletrack's issue after next as they've got a 17.5" frame built up for testing at the moment.
Hope this helps
I have the 20 and have been riding it for 3 months or so, and it's really good fun and hasn't let me down yet. Done lots of fast downhill stuff and more recently technical twisty singletrack and it's all good 🙂
I have a 30 and it is a very capable machine. It felt much more lively and faster at CyB than my Rocky Mountain ETS-X has ever done.
I've had a altitude 853 frame for just under a year. I would highly recommend it. Very comfortable to ride. I never seem to use my orange 5 any more. I even thought of selling it as a consequence.
I've had a Altitude 30 since last Saturday and have almost done 7 hours of riding on it this week. I am really impressed with it. The fork is excellent, the brakes stop you on a sixpence and the frame is so comfortable to ride. I've moved from an alu frame to steel and the difference in comfort is amazing.
I managed to get £400 off as well so it's a great deal.

Had an Alt20 for a couple of weeks and pretty impressed with it so far.
Copes as well as my Cannondale Rush on local DH trails, is happy with long day rides (more traditional xc style rides), and is generally a good sorted bike.
The adjustable fork has worked well so far - into 130mm travel for the dh trails mentioned above, 100mm for 'normal' trails.
Will be riding it for the Torchbearer 12 at 24/12 in preference to my Rush.
Wheels are heavy, stem, bars, seatpost are all cheap looking, saddle not vey nice. Grips are too thin for me. Conti Mtn King tyres are better than I thought they'd be. BUT the frame and forks are essentially what you're paying for.
