Can anyone help me figure out gear ratios please, I currently have a 22T front small ring, and a standard 11-32 rear. I've put some new cranks on the front that come with a 24T front ring, what will 24/32 be equivalent to on my old 22/32 setup ?

Cheers.

24/32 = 0.75 ~= 22/29

So is .75 the gear inches?

Nope, I skipped the gear inches. Gear inches here would be 26*0.75 = 19.5"

Those are just equivalent ratios.

Ok but where is the 26 from? Or is that wheel dia?

Yep. IIRC the way it works is that gear inches are the equivalent diameter to a penny farthing with the same gear - the bigger the wheel, the higher the gear.

Also, multiply the gear inches by Pi to get the distance travelled for one turn of the pedals.
