As title, need two need gatorskins for commuter, just wondering if anyone uses similar with good results ie very few punctures. Carbon road bike FWIW if that makes any difference.

Thanks

i am using a set of Ultrasports, truely horrible tyres but they are cheap and have done 5000miles before starting to show some wear.

Conti 4 Season? Seem a bit tougher than the gatorskins.

Schwalbe Luganos. Cheap, cheerful and only 1 puncture in 18 months

Gators are brilliant for puncture protection IME, just don't expect much grip in the wet. I've recently replaced mine after 6k miles commuting through London and only one 'puncture' which also dented the rim! I should note that I replaced them with some part-worn Rubino Pros and I've had two punctures in two months.

Gatorskin hardshells here and no punctures since fitted ~2years of commuting, tyres are royally shagged now but still not punctured...

They were recommended to me , I wanted a less slick tyre for winter months. Zero punctures since last November, I commute every day. So they are either really good or I have been lucky!

Schwalbe Durano plus for bombproofness, Durano South for a little more lightness and speed.

Currently running Schwalbe Duranos, 25mm. 1 puncture in 6 months so far which was a pinch due low pressure, otherwise bombproof, they're not the fastest feeling tyre.

Previously used GP4000s, lively feeling tyre but cut up badly and got shed loads of punctures.

Also used Maxxis Detonator which were ok, bit slow and some punctures.

Ultra sports rolled nicely but were too flimsy, cut up badly and got they're fair share of puncs.

Next on the list is Ultremo tubeless, when I save enough dosh

Another 4Seasons vote here. Slower, but tougher. Tougher still are Spesh [s]Armoureddildos[/s] Armadillos. As tough as old boots, but handle like pigs on stilts.

Maxxis Refuse are another alternative. I use these and they are superb - fast, grippy and pretty light for an anti-p roadie tyre.

Gatorskins are brilliant tyres, but were real pain to get on rim!

i use 32mm gatorskin on the front with a 32mm hardshell on the rear, no problems, or punctures in 800 miles and i ride them in any terrain.
wife has 25mm folding gatorskins on her bike, ive tried those too, they roll better than my ones.
never had a problem with grip at all, in fact they are my tyre of choice for a road bike.
it must be pointed out that i dont race, commuting/leisure rides only.

Panaracer Ribmos , had Shwalbe Luganos and had a puncture nearly every ride. None since Ribmos and they have been on more than a year.
