Will get pics tonight. Rear sprocket is stainless steel and is a lovely bit of machining. Shame to get it dirty.

Oh, and the Inland Revenue didn't notice it coming in. Worked out about £90 cheaper than buying from Gates Europe (Nicolai) 🙂

What was the total cost in the end (if you don't mind saying)?

Thats about twice a good chain setup.

I'd love to run a belt but I think it's going to end up too pricey as I'll also need new dropouts.

Thankfully it seems I can magic ratio my current setup and have vertical dropouts for super easy wheel replacement

I know. I guess a large proportion of that is down to amount of production. I'm quite happy to invest at this stage though.

Graham - looks very nice (and clean!)

Thats about twice a good chain setup.

Parts look nice. Are you still going to be using a snubber on this, or did you find a snubber less solution in the end?

I'm guessing the 'rail' in the middle and tension keeps the belt in place (assuming a *really* good chainline)?

MTG are you not going to run it with a Rohloff or is that a future project?

nixie - I'll be using my snubber (not the Gates one) as a belt-n-braces approach, just in case. I may try it without eventually.

wwaswas - yep. New centre-track system should cope with misaligment better than the old carbon-drive, which only had a single side-flange and relied on offsetting both sprockets slightly. They don't use a double flange so there's somewhere for mud and stuff to get out.

@MTG just out of interest why don't you need to use a tensioner? Did you just find the magic ratio, or are you running an EBB? Sorry if you have answered this in other posts.
