[#4072034]

i've ended up with a rigid gary fisher tarpon off a friend.
just wondering were/are these bikes anygood?
the gear levers are knackered, would it be worth making in to a singlespeed bike for winter use? and if so any tips on setting it up singlespeed?

thanks

I've got one, to be honest I hate it, the worst £300 I spent, I bought the cheapest spec just to put a child seat on, the components and forks are awful, the frame is probably ok if you strip it down.

a tampon would fit better

@ cocker - sorry to dis the bike, just being honest, and to be fair whenever I ride it I can't help but compare it to my other more expensive and better spec'd bike.
