Just booked a few days break in Garmisch-Partenkirchen mid July. I've been there a lot over the years but not since i've been mtb'ing properly. Renting a decent bike shouldn't be a prob - i just don't know about cheeky trails thereabouts. Other than a ride out to the Karwendelhaus and up into the Reintal has anyone any ideas about trails narrower than the 2m rule? I've checked out the GaPa.de site but alternatives are welcome.
I stopped for lunch in Garnisch on Monday and last thursday on way to and from Austria. nice looking town but raining hard on monday. Sorry, thats it!
[watching as will have a free weekend in BV in August]

Not sure it's quite the best area for MTBing btw, might need to drive a short way. But I am not sure.

True, it's probably not a honeypot for die-hards, but then hopefully the anti-biking fraternity will be less prevelant (but i'm not counting on it!). This is simply a mini-break for some Teutonic culture/beer/scoff/relaxation with a bit of mtb'ing for good measure - i'm having a (hopefully) more full-on break in Saalbach/Ischgl/Garda later on.
