After much deliberation I'm ready to get a PM. Pretty sure Vector single is where I'm going.
Winstanleys look on it price wise , does anyone have any recommendations?

There's a giant thread on here with loads of power meter deals. Not seen a post for a while, but do some Googling for it and you'll find it.

Edit: this one

Cheers I've been following that thread with interest and did check before posting. Just wondering if there was anything I'd missed.

Don't think so. Germans use to be pretty good but no so much now.

Is it worth the extra (almost double) to have the version that measures from both pedals?

It's more that an imbalance can vary with levels of effort and fatigue, your imbalance may be a lot greater during hard efforts than easy efforts for example. Dual sided and you get the full picture.

Also if you have multiple PM's then it can be an issue when comparing across them. The single sided Vector is pretty good though as it allows you to set a scaling factor, so if you know you're always 5% out compared to another PM for example, you can set a suitable slope.

Single sided Vector good also in that you can upgrade to a second pedal later, spread the cost out a bit.
