In reality cos I'm a doofus, I came back from a ride and took it off and put it into my pocket while i was cleaning my bike, then forgot to take it out of my pocket when jacket into the machine.

I can recommend the Garmin Dakota 10 after the same treatment. Although mine because it went in still turned on screwed up the screen calibration, so I had to re calibrate the screen.
