I have a an old 305, 3 years old and in pretty constant use.
Over the past week the HR functions started playing up, it started dropping wildly in an interval session last week, I'd be building up Zone4 and maintaining it then out of no where the reading would fall to 0.9 and not go back up.
The HR functions very dead now, It would appear the straps faulty, but as there's not that much to go wrong with the strap....anyone had the same?
Easiest thing would be to pair it with a mates, I tried this on the weekend but forgot to sync it, I'm not seeing anyone with a strap till the weekend and wanted to get it sorted before then if possible.
It's not simply that the battery is on its way out?
I would try a new battery but if it's the soft strap belt then its very likely on the way out. I've had a Garmin and Bryton soft strap and both didn't last more than a year. Replaced with a Garmin hard strap and never had a problem since.
Nah, I hoped it was that, still dead.
It's a hard strap.
I'm on the verge of buying a 510 but wanted to give it a couple of months if poss, just wondered how often the straps died.
You did well to get 3 years out it.
