So thinking of getting a GPS for some touring and to stop me getting lost on the road bike.

Looking at the Garmin 800, but I see there's not just a standard model...

Can anyone explain/point me to some info on exactly what the Performance/Navigation/Trail bundles are?! Cos the Garmin website sure doesn't help in knowing. If I get the 800 model am I then going to have to buy a load of upgrades?!

I got the trail model as it has os maps with it for off road mapping it also works with the same mapping on the road i already had the heart rate moniter strap and cadence sensor from a previouse model sodidnt need the performance model, if your not interested in cadence or heartrate and are prepared to just rely on the units gps to calculate speed and distance then the navigator or trail bundle on its own is all you need, to me the trail bundle is better as it has os maps?

I got the Enduro bundle has it all, 50K UK OS maps, HR strap and Speed Cadence. If you're just using it for route mapping/directions you can sell on what you don't need.

EDITED - I checked my order on Merlin to see what package I bought

Cheers guys, very helpful. I see Bryton have the 50T with a heart rate monitor or the 50E with OS trail maps for less than the standard Garmin 800... decisions...

Any thoughts on Bryton?
